This was the beginning: our very first trip with George, our Land Rover Defender. From Baasrode we headed to the Biesbosch for a long weekend of camping, kayaking and enjoying nature.

On the road with George

The route went from Baasrode via Drimmelen to the Biesbosch. In the back of George travelled a Dometic fridge, along with sleeping bags and everything you need to cook and sleep by the water.

Camping by the water

We slept on grassy banks and polders: first at the Jeppegatweg, then in the Polder Hooge Hof, and the last night again at the Jeppegatweg, a little further on. During the day we paddled a kayak through the creeks and visited the island of the Biesbosch museum.

After three nights we drove back to Baasrode.
